A natural born teacher, Helen Carpenter joins RE/MAX One with a wealth of knowledge and experience in research and education. She is a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with individuals from all backgrounds and is comfortable with whatever level of knowledge they bring to the transaction. She understands that how people learn, process information, and make decisions can be extremely important traits when working through the buying or selling process.
Helen has spent the past decade living in different areas of the country and traveling the world. Fluent in Spanish, she lived for years in El Salvador teaching English as a second language while developing a passion for helping others and an appreciation for cultures and experiences outside the normal scope. Her travels have afforded her the opportunity to see and experience a lot of amazing communities and houses; as a REALTOR®, she is able to enjoy her love of houses, land, how people use them, and to be fully involved in her local community.
Originally from Virginia Beach, she has lived much of her life in the DMV near the Potomac River or Chesapeake Bay. She now lives in Charles County with her husband and three sons and they enjoy spending time with their large network of friends and family in Anne Arundel county and the DC area. Helen feels that Southern Marylanders are some of the friendliest and most welcoming people she has encountered and loves the natural beauty and affordability of the area while still being close to urban centers in DC, Virginia, and Maryland.
Helen will be working primarily out of our La Plata office.
